The First National Bank of Sasakwa, Oklahoma (#10314) was chartered in January, 1913 and liquidated in December, 1915. They issued 346 sheets of 10-10-10-20 Series of 1902 Date Backs.
Sasakwa is the Seminole word for "wild goose." The town was founded around a trading post and the post office was established in 1880. Sasakwa's highest population (781) was during the oil boom of the late 1920's. By 2000 the local population stood at 150.
