The Winnsboro National Bank, Winnsboro, SC (2087)
This bank, the only one in town, was chartered in 1873 and liquidated in 1896. They issued roughly 10,000 sheets of Original Series, 1875, and 1882 Brown Backs for a total of $283,715. Not a single note has yet to surface.
Charter 2087 was one of four banks in the state to issue Lazy Deuces- a denomination that has yet to appear from South Carolina.

That is neat to see the back in color like that. Thanks for posting. Fortunately Winnsboro is just outside of the area of the state I collect. So if one shows up I can just watch the fireworks instead of applying for a second mortgage.
